The Cerro Torre massif in Argentine Patagonia is one of the the most infamous and beautiful collections of peaks in the world. In this image the summit of Cerro Torre itself is briefly visible through roiling storm clouds, while its neighbors Torre Egger and Aguja Stanhardt remain hidden. I took this photo while climbing on a peak across the valley and noticed the tip of Cerro Torre peeking out from the clouds while waiting at a belay. It was only visible for a few minutes before disappearing back into the growing storm. This is one of the most unique images in my gallery and one of my personal favorites.
